Number two is a public hearing to receive comments regarding a proposed street neam assignment for a private easement to be known as thunder trail off stewart road near Lakeway in presipping three.

>> move the public hearing be opened.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> this is a private easement and we are giving it a name merely to facilitate 911 spns response. This does not indicate the county will maintain the easement and the signage will be the responsibility of the private parties. I know of no objection to the naming of this easement as thunder trail.

>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing? Yes, sir, please come forward. If you would give us your name, we would be happy to get your comment. Have a seat and get comfortable. Joe barks a whole lot bigger than his bite, so don't let him bother you.

>> good morning. I live on tiewrt road and I'm -- stewart road and I'm on the private easement and my concern is that the private easement is being turned into a public street. Back in the days when houses were built, they were built close to the easement, and with the traffic and stuff coming through there, I'm a little concerned. And also, I wasn't consulted about the thunder trail street name. I'd probably prefer something else.

>> now, if this action, if approved, will sichly change the -- simply change the name, in the the character of the red. So it will remain a private road. We do this for emergency services purposes so if there's an emergency call, 911 persons will know exactly where the road is.

>> okay.

>> it remains a private road, but the name of the street is another issue. Do we know where the name thunder trail came from?

>> normally it recommended by the residents along the roadway.

>> yes, sir, your name please?

>> my name is brent jones. And I own 10 lots on each side of the private easement. And we came up with the name. Actually, etcetera named after our -- it's named after our dog. [ laughter ]

>> my guess is that the 911 folks would want a name, so then the question would be what name do they use. And the hardest thing normally is to get a name that's not used somewhere else. So the more creative you are, I guess the more you can avoid that second challenge of coming up with a unique name.

>> was his name thunder trailer thunder tail in.

>> thunder is his name. [ laughter ]

>> better than cujo, I guess. [ laughter ]

>> that's my dog's name.

>> is that something you can live with?

>> hur.

>> but it remains a private easement, just a private easement with a new name. And the big difference, and is pretty important, is that the 911 folks will know exactly where this road is in the event that there's some sort of emergency. Is that all right?

>> that's fine with me.

>> thank you.

>> would anyone else like to give testimony during this public hearing in.

>> move the public hearing be clessed.

>> all in favor that passes by unanimous vote.
