View captioned video.

26 is to receive briefing from county attorney, authorize county attorney to accept, reject or counteroffer settlement demand and take appropriate action regarding jennifer segura. This is under the consultation with attorney and the personnel matters exception. 27 to receive legal briefing and take appropriate action to clarify county position on bfi expansion application pending before the capcog solid waste advisory committee. You should have some language on that too look at that we got late yesterday or this morning. A-1 is to consider and take appropriate action on the hiring of deputy chief medical examiner, including, but not limited to salary range, title and job description. That's under the personnel matters. And let's also announce consultation with attorney just in case we need it for a-1. A-2, consider and take appropriate action on purchase of real property in north Austin to house Travis County offices of the precinct 2 constable and justice of the peace and community supervision and corrections department. And that's under the real property. Let's also announce consultation with attorney for a-2. We'll discuss these four items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

we have returned from executive session where where he discussed the following four items. A

>> I don't know if we were converting that into feet that we really would have an opportunity to do that and run the traps. We got notice, called a few days ago, this thing has been postponed by the swac, two or three times, we sort of agreed with -- with b.f.i., the advisory commission wanting to take the position one way or the other, advise the executive committee, I "get healthy" it over. -- I guess get it over.

>> well for the record, I thank you for all of your work, but I don't agree with -- with the -- with the wide open expansion that is given to them at this point. Because the whole thing, as much as we want them to leave in 2015, we really didn't want to see another 75 feet, because we have seen mountains now for at least a year they've had these dirt mounds, I don't exactly know why. Nobody can give me an answer. They are quite high, but they are not 75 feet. So -- so it's -- you know, it's -- we thought this would give you an idea of how high they already are and how much higher they are going to go. We thought based on that you would limit their expansion based on feet. Which we -- that would -- that would definitely prompt them to have to leave. They don't have any more room, they would have to leave. But if they have room I don't think that that date is going to be -- mainly because you are not going to be here in 2015. At least I don't think so, probably better places, I don't know. But if you are here, I hope I'm not hee. But if you are --

>> [multiple voices]

>> I don't know what's going to happen. I just think that in 2015 I -- I hate to see people come back and say see we told you so or, you know, they have more room, they don't have anyplace to go or things that are not right. They will stay until 2018. You are giving them a big expansion. It's too wide open. It's too wide open. That's all. Thank you very much.

>> the way I see it, whether you state it in feet or in a date, it doesn't matter. If you are worried about -- about coming back and them changing their minds at a later date, they can change their mind about a date or they can change their mind about a height or volume limit, equally. I mean it's -- it's sort of six of one, half dozen of the other as far as that's concerned.

>> I know, but I think the residence have been -- residents have been asking for not such a high mountain to continue being higher and higher. 71 feet was more than anybody wanted to see or put up with. So you have two choices. You give them this size of box, so they are going to try to extend their time there to fill that box because it's worth millions of dollars per year. Or if they know that it's going to be a problem, that they have to in 2015, they will bring in so much garbage to fill in that amount in what, eight years now, that it's going to be insane for us. You will get complaints on a monthly basis of people saying my god, you know, we can't put up with all of this garbage, it smells, whatever. There's a lot of garbage that can be put in under this 75 feet, for what its worth. I'm sorry I had to put that on the record.

>> thank you.

>> state your mind.

>> any more discussion? All in favor? Show Commissioners Daugherty, Sonleitner, yours truly voting in favor. Voting against, Commissioner Davis.

>> no further business today.

>> move adjourn.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
