And we have an answer to the question on item itemno. 5. Number five is order certain surplus items destroyed or otherwise disposed of as worthless pursuant to section 263.552.5-3 of the Texas local government code.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners. Cyd grimes, county purchasing agent. The law does allow the Commissioners court to donate things to specific organizations. We did try to sell this furniture at auction twice and actually did sell it twice for not very much money. I don't have those numbers, but it's been picked through twice. Someone's come out there -- two folks have come out there already twice and picked through, so what you have left out there is a lot of mismatch. Now, what we can do is make a couple of phone calls to some of these organizations and see if they are even interested. We might could put some pictures out on the internet for them to look at it and see if there's anybody else interested before we take to destroy this.

>> I do think it would help to take pictures that we can share with -- I have in mind really nonprofit agencies that refurbish furniture as part of like a job training effort and let them look at it. It may well be that they say no. Then we'll just destroy it.

>> okay. We'll look at some of our social service contracts that we know folks who do that and see if anybody is interested. And if you know of someone, let me know and we'll try to do that before we --

>> I'll try to remember to ask ms. Fleming if she has any ideas and have her contact you.

>> the Austin area association of human service agencies, and they could put the word out because the fact that something doesn't match doesn't mean much.

>> to some of them.

>> we'll try. We'll try again before we --

>> we can always destroy this. When we destroy it we actually just --

>> take it to the landfill basically. I'll see how much we've got.

>> but it costs us even to destroy it, to take it to the landfill as solid waste.

>> right.

>> thank you. Appreciate that. Let's have that back on the agenda for further action later if necessary. Thanks, appreciate that.

>> I think last time we were discussing computers when we discuss howd we might -- how we might dispose of some of this stuff.

>> [inaudible - no mic].

>> okay. Good deal. Thank you very much.
