And this will be taken up under the consultation with attorney and the personnel matters exceptions to the open meetings act. We'll discuss those matters in executive session, but will return to court before taking any action. The other thing is that we should notify staff for the corporations that our intention is to take up the corporations after we have completed executive session, before we adjourn today. I'm thinking we can get all of it done and take as long as we need to, if not by 12, then really pretty close to it. Is that okay?

>> stay and get it done before we go to lunch.

good afternoon, we've returned from executive session where we discussioned a long list of items consisting of the following. Number 28 involving jennifer mcphail and others versus dana debeauvoir, I move that we authorize settlement of this matter for the amounts of $8,500 in attorneys' fees and one thousand dollars to adapt.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 29 involving the medical examiner's office, let's ask staff to go ahead and schedule the next set of interviews for week after next. And indicate the court's intention to shortly thereafter have a special meeting regarding issues at the medical examiner's office so we can basically obtain closure on some of them.

>> second.

>> that would be a motion then. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We did not discuss item number 30. And 31, 32 and 33, let's authorize the county attorney basically to pursue the collection of damages in the situation of mr. Vargas in 31, and in 32 edward garza, and in 33 ramon rodriguez, so it's basically direction to pursue collection of whatever the county is owed.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 34 we did not discuss. 35 involving transition plan and the Travis County fire marshal, move that we authorize the county judge to send the Travis County fire marshal this afternoon, send or deliver a letter in which we indicate the court's decision not to reappoint him to that position at the end of the current term, which in our view would end July 5th at midnight. In that same letter that we indicate the court's decision to terminate his employment or sever his relationship with Travis County at the end of this -- of his term, the current term. That another part of this motion is to authorize pete baldwin, the coordinator of this functional area, to assign duties as appropriate to the remaining staff and to assume overall management of the office to handle whatever day-to-day matters come up, and that that is effective this afternoon, and/or at the time of delivery of the letter. And that in that letter we authorize the county judge to indicate the court's decision to put the fire marshal on leave with pay through the end of the current term so that he can use the time as he sees fit.

>> second.

>> and the letter should contain any other matters that are consistent with those directions and our discussion in Commissioners court today. Did I leave out anything? Any discussion? The letter should express our appreciation for the two years of service that he provided. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 36 we did discuss, and I guess let's just indicate our intention to have a special session on these matters as well as the others that we made reference to a few moments ago when we had the special meeting doing the week of July 11th. 37 we did get an update. No action is required today. Maybe to remind the attorney on the other side of the action the court took earlier this year and to provide copies of the official minutes of the court that contain the formal action that was taken. 39, I move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resale deed to terrance m. Trainer, who has paid Travis County the sum of $3,300 in cash.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. On item number 40, move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resale deed to ryan trainer, who has paid the sum of $3,300 in cash to Travis County for this property.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 41 I move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resiel deed to brian wheeler, who has paid Travis County the sum of $4,880.80.

>> second.

>> any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 42, I move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resale deed to robert stine, who has paid Travis County the sum of $4,417.05.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And we did not discuss item number a-2 in executive session, but I wanted to postpone it until after we had discussed the other part of the fire marshals item. A-2 is to consider and take appropriate action on request to post Travis County fire marshal position, and I move that we post the position immediately.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And all items that we have not discussed that are on today's agenda we will have back on on July 11th.

>> move adjourn.

>> okay.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

let's call the court back to order. We did discuss another executive session matter. And that was a-1. Thank you very much, ms. Clerk. And a-1 involves the mediation for a matter involving the Travis County human resources management department employee slot number 2. I move that we authorize alicia perez to represent Travis County at the mediation.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Now let's have a motion to adjourn the Travis County Commissioners court.

>> so made.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you. That was seconded by Commissioner Daugherty.
