Item 4

View captioned video.

Number 4 is to consider and take appropriate action on budget amendments, transfers and discussion items.

>> good afternoon.

>> afternoon.

>> we'll be happy to answer any questions on a 1, a 2, transfers one through four or the other item. The reason that we asked that this item not be put on consent because discussion 1, which is a tnr item, was an item that was approved last week and we're okay with the approval of that. The concern that we had was just the funding source. Tnr would like for this to come from our reserve and that it would be entirely funded through salary savings.

>> so it's your recommendation that it comes out of salary savings?

>> no. That it come out of allocated reserve.

>> pbo recommended salary savings.

>> yes.

>> pbo typically recommends salary savings with the understanding that if the department runs out of funds before the end of the fiscal year, then we'll have it back.

>> instead of coming back to court and we can take it out of allocated reserve. There should be sufficient salary savings to accomplish this internally.

>> because I know mr. Gieselman will certainly understand us trying to continue to comply with our way of conducting business, it seems to me that salary savings would make sense and with the understanding that if they really need the money later on in the fiscal year, we'll replenish is. That gieselman has just walked in? That's my motion. Salary savings, with the understanding that if tnr runs out of money, come back to us and we'll reflen plen issue it.

>> -- replenish it.

>> is this for all budget amendments and transfers?

>> I had a little question about it. It was just on this 45,000 for the --

>> just ds one.

>> any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. The other one that's a little unusual, this money's not going to the deputy constable, that they're sort of giving a letter of commendation, it really is going to the department to use?

>> yes, it is going to the department to utilize.

>> and in the past have we allowed that or does money come to the general fund? I know there's been items like a boat here --

>> it's been donated, dogs and training. I think I recall one other time that there was an amount of dollars that were donated that we did direct to the constable's office, but I don't have the details.

>> actually, I can refresh that. This was in 2001, $500 from target at that particular point in time time. It was the same sort of issue.

>> so what would they do with this money? It's a county purpose.

>> move approval as long as it goes for a county purpose.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? Show Commissioners Sonleitner, Gomez, Daugherty, yours truly voting in favor. Commissioner Davis in favor?

>> yeah.

>> a unanimous court. Thank y'all very much.

>> and then do we still need to move approval of all the other amendments and transfers? I don't think --

>> we certainly do. Second to the motion. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank y'all.
