Number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments regarding a proposed policy relating to regulating obstacles in the county right-of-way.

>> move to open the public hearing.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Good morning.

>> good morning, judge. Carol joseph with t.n.r. David grier our traffic manager will explain briefly what the policy is about. Today is just a public hearing, next week we will bring the action item for the agenda.

>> can you give us a one minute overview of -- of what this is about?

>> yes, definitely. Well, this policy that we are proposing is meant to state some guidelines for what is an obstacle in our right-of-way. Basically, an obstacle is something in what's called the quick clear recovery area next to the edge of the pavement where we want to keep the -- that area clear of anything that might be harmful to the public and makes the roadway impassable, hazardous or otherwise inconvenient. And -- and basically this is not going retroactive in some cases. It's more from this point forward we are going to start requiring these certain things not be in the clear recovery area.

>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing?

>> move to close the public hearing.

>> now, we had advertised this for discussion for today so we have to have the public hearing. We pulled the action item because this is election day. We will have it back on next week for action. Not for a public hearing, but we always receive public comment during the action item part if there is any.

>> that's right.

>> okay. This will be back on next week for action.

>> move that the public hearing be closed.

>> second.

>> favor favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
