We have come to executive session. We have the following items. 45. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County, et al v. Cleto contreras (david and emily nguyen resale deed) and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney. 46. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County, et al v. Steven lajoy (daniel sims resale deed) and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney 47. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County, et al v. Brady lee howard (friends meeting of Austin resale deed) and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney. 48. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County, et al v. Robert j. Edwards, jr. (tia van berg resale deed) and take appropriate action. Consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 49. Receive briefing from county attorney regarding settlement negotiations and take appropriate action involving landowners bruce d. And sarah m. Receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in entertainment by j & j inc. V. Rufino cornejo and luke mercer, constable precinct 1, et al. Consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 56. Receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in entertainment by j & j inc. V. Celia perez, veronica govea and luke mercer, constable precinct 1, et al. Consultation with attorney. 57. Receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding angela d. Steadtler v. Travis County, et al. Consultation with attorney. 58. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the purchase of an office building located at 5555 airport blvd., Austin, Texas. Let's say consultation with attorney, not noticed here, and real estate exceptions to the open meetings act. And number 59. Receive legal briefing and take appropriate action on the following: a. Whether road and bridge funds may be used to construct the transportation and natural resources eastside service center; and b. If not, what alternative funding sources are available for the same project. A and b are under consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. We will discuss these matters in executive session but will return to open court before taking any action.


we have returned to from executive session where we discuss the following items. 45 I move that we approve the proposed tax resale deed to david and emily nguyen who paid to us the sum of 28,700 in cash. Discussion. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. 46 I move that we approve the proposed resale tax deed to daniel sims who has paid to us the sum of $8,400 in cash. Discussion? You'll all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 47, I move that we approve the proposed tax resale deed to friends meeting of Austin, which paid to us the sum of 16,699.43.

>> discussion? Favor favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 48, I move that we approve the proposed tax resale deed to tia vanburg, that paid to Travis County the sum of 4,020 in cash.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And next item, number 49, I move that we approve the proposed tax resale deed to yun who paid to Travis County the sum of 6 ... Any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. The next item, number 50's the two part item, I move that we approve the proposed tax resale deed to shannon from shannon slachter for paid to Travis County the sum of $8 for a and -- $8,000 for a, building number 52697 and an additional $4,000 in b, or building number 62786. Discussion in all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. On the next item, number 51, I move that we approve proposed tax resale deed to frank t. Matyas, junior who paid Travis County the sum of $5,500 in cash.

Number 52, which involves juvenile probation department employee, slot number 310, I move that we authorize one additional day, leave with pay, one additional day of leave with pay, which would carry him of this person through February 14th, 2006.

>> any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 53 involves the condemnation proceeding on the -- on the grand avenue parkway prong.

>> judge, I move did that we decline the offer from the schafers and that we provide no counter offer.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 14, the anderson mill road condemnation proceeding.

>> judge, I would move on this one that we accept the offer of bruce and sarah harrison and in the amount of 101,303 and as part of this there is a release and settlement document that all parties will be signing.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 55 we did get an update in the j and j epg operated versus v. Rufino cornejo and luke -- and others, no action required today. 56 pretty much the same thing. An update in another matter involving j and j and v. Celia perez, veronica govea and others, no action today. We will be advised when to put both of those back on the court's agenda. 57 I move that we ask dan mansewer to represent Travis County in a mediation matter of this case, angela d. Steadtler v. Travis County, et al. That mediation has been set tentatively on March 2nd, 2006. There's another part that I would do them separately. Discussion of that? And if dan mansour absolutely positively cannot make that mediation, the county judge will represent the court. Is that okay?

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Part b of this is that I move that we make an offer of judgment in the amount of $10,000.

>> and I would go to that amount in view of -- of the other possible consequences as a result of an adverse determination in the matter. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And that we authorize the county attorney to file any and all appropriate documents in this proceeding to convey that offer of judgment and any related matters. Right, john? That's part of the motion. And second. Number 58, we did get a good discussion of that, gave directions to staff. Any action required today we will have back on the court's agenda next week in the case that we are needed. Yeah, we approved that in another item, number 11 I think it was, that number. Any action required on 58 today? We will have it back on next week just in days the -- that way we can act in a timely manner if necessary. On 59 we did get an update and we got good news on a. Therefore we did not need to discuss b. And a was that there were steps that we could take to accomplish that in a manner satisfactory to the law of the auditor, the county attorney and the Commissioners court. And anything else today?
