Travis County Commissioners Court

Items 28 & 29
Judge, can we get clarity on the two trucks?
>> I did not.
>> because I --
>> do you know anything about those?
>> I know that one is -- is a half ton, one is a one ton. And I would just assume they are having to get one tons to pull equipment. I had not talked with that. Mike joist to come down and talk to the court. I don't know --
>> that was a -- [indiscernible] $6,300 difference there.
>> right. The one truck in the backup is an f 350, the biggest on the ford, six passenger and a long bed and the others that we are buying lots of is a half a ton pickup truck with short beds. I’ll see if I can get you all an answer.
>> I don't think it's a ford chevy thing.
>> joe?
>> we are only buying one of the big trucks.
>> yeah.
>> the more expensive trucks are duallies, heavy duty. The transition alone costs 4,000 bucks, they are big trucks, crew cabs, that's where the prices are different. One ton versus a half ton.
>> bigger trucks, greater duty.
>> absolutely.
>> okay.
>> 28 is to approve purchase of.
>> move approval.
>> that passes by unanimous vote.
>> 29 is to approve purchase of chevrolet trucks specifically 23 of them. Off state contract from davey jack, ii, automotive ltd.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous
