Item 37

View captioned video.

37. Consider and take appropriate action on request to approve a change in a contract between the Texas department of transportation and the Travis County tax office. This is one of those things required by the state of Texas. And nobody is here. I don't have any problem with it. Any problem anybody?

>> [multiple voices]

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Commissioner Daugherty had to run to another commitment. And is not with us at this point. But passes unanimously. By those present. 36 is consider and take appropriate action on approval of performance contract with Texas historical commission and related issues. I was told by purchasing that -- that this contract is ready. If there is somebody who believes otherwise, please run down. I got this e-mail this morning apparently and saw it for the first time during the lunch hour. So I brought it down and here the president of the Travis County historical commission is simply saying that dr. Wilson doleman a member of one of their committees, will manage the paperwork involved with the grant requirements and I think that means he will work with Travis County to make sure that the paperwork required by the state of Texas, the Texas historical commission will be completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. So that any -- any funds advanced by Travis County would be reimbursed. The other party that I do know that purchasing and the auditor had worked together on -- on ensuring that we do an accurate accounting of the in kind services that are provided so the state can give us credit for the $3,000 match. So I would move approval.

>> second.

>> discussion? -- the other thing is if we follow this, closely from the beginning, if there aren't any unexpected glitches, somebody would just let us know and we would make sure that we take the necessary corrective action. Cyd, anything else we need to know on this one? This is the historical commission contract.

>> [inaudible - no mic]

>> approving that?

>> right.

>> [inaudible - no mic]

>> I don't know whether you got that or not. I got that this morning and saw it for the first time during lunch. So that's just a copy of it.

>> [inaudible - no mic]

>> have a seat.

>> the contract will be -- the contract is not -- it not anywhere near $25,000. So -- so I’ll sign it just for expediency.

>> purchase order.

>> okay.

>> any more questions? We appreciate your assistance, also the auditor's office. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
