Now, number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments regarding an offer from southwestern bell telephone, l.p. To buy an exclusive access, cable and equipment easement on land owned by Travis County along fm 973 in precinct four.

>> good morning, joe lieberman with the transportation -- joe gieselman with the transportation natural resources department. Southwestern bell approached Travis County to get this easement for their telecommunication system. It is a county parkland and that is why we are conducting this public hearing. Appropriate notice has been posted in the newspaper. The southwestern bell will purchase this easement from Travis County for $10,000. It does not otherwise conflict with the use of the property for its intended purposes and so we therefore recommend to the court -- well, first of all, this is just a public hearing. There is an action item that would grant southwestern bell this easement if appropriate.
>> we discussed this a few months ago.
>> yes, we did.
>> we were about to do it.
>> yes, we were -- we were predispossessed to granting the easement, but the fact that this is parkland we are required to conduct a public hearing.
>> any objections called to our attention?
>> not to my knowledge.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing?
