Consent Items

View captioned video.

The consent items are next. And posted for consent are c-1 through c-15. A long list of consent items, and I show all of them to be ready for action. C-1 through c-15. And we've been asked to consider agd the following items to the consent motion. If you would like for us to discuss any of these separately, please say so as we call out the number. We have been asked to pull item 19, pull 19. And to postpone for one week items 24 and 25. So we'll have those back on next week. Now, let's consider adding the following items to the consent motion. Number 79, -- 7, 9, all of 10.
>> is that contingent upon the zoning and platting approvals that we believe are happening tonight? Is that correct, shirley? It's contingent upon staff approval tonight.
>> okay. That contingency okay with everybody? So if that doesn't happen then this item will be brought back to the court. Number 12 that we had the public hearing on. 13, 14, number 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21. Now, on 22, the wording says to the highest scored proposer. The backup says the best fitting solution for the county. Do those meet the legal requirements?
>> I haven't looked at it.
>> yeah, the wording is -- I have never seen it like this. Not only the best qualified, but can we interpret the one that receives the highest scored, the best qualified?
>> let me check and get back with you.
>> we'll hold off on this a little bit -- I meant to ask that yesterday, but it is late last night that I thought about it. Let's put an asterick by 22 and remember to revisit that later this morning. 23.
>> a and b?
>> that's a long list, a and b. And we jump to 26, all of 27. We're renewing for calendar '06. So 27-a and 27-b. 28, 29, 30 --
>> I have a question on 30.
>> 30 will not be part of the consent motion. 31.
>> June judge, I want to --
>> 31 will not be part of the consent motion. Wally address those separately. 32 --
>> 31-a I’m all right with. 31-b -- if you want to go with 31-b, we can, if you want to make that part of the consent.
>> I’ll put 31-a on consent. All right. 31-a, but not 31-b. 32 we just called out. And we drop -- now, on 35 we kind of last week said go ahead and do it. It's a 110,000-dollar hit, two f.t.e.'s and security. Do we need to discuss that further, 35?
>> I don't think it needs to be a protracted discussion. Did we need to discuss 34?
>> I got my concerns addressed there. 34-a through 34-c. Then we jump to 36. 37, 39, and on 38 if we just get that laid out so I make sure I understand it, I think it's required legally.
>> it's a federal tax thing.
>> do we want to put 38 on consent? It's kind of required by federal law. 38 let's put it on consent. 39, 40, 41, 42. Do we need to discuss 43? I don't know whether they plan to come down here on that or not?
>> I got the impression she was coming here. We've got their drawing at 10:00 in terms of ballot position on the special election.
>> do you want to hold off on 43 in case she wants to visit with us. 42 would be the last one.
>> move approval of consent.
>> second.
>> would anyone like for us to pull any of these for separate discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
