Consent Items

View captioned video.

Posted for consent are c 1 through c 6, I show those to be ready for action. While we have been asked to consider adding the following items to the consent motion, if you would like for us to discuss any of these items separately, please say so as we call out the number. Number 2 in its entirety, so 2 a and 2 b --
>> judge?
>> yes. Can we make a minor correction to the posting? It says the corporation for natural services and it should read the corporation for national and community services. All of the -- all of the attached documents are correct, but the posting has that error.
>> ms. Legal? She says that's fine, so it's fine with the court. All right. 2 a and 2 b will be part of the consent motion. Any issues with c? There is that big number that we have been working with for -- when I first looked at it I said oh, 14,000, but it's 14 million, we know that it's for reimers ranch.
>> otherwise known as the joe gieselman robbed the bank. [laughter]
>> borrowed from the bank.
>> number 3 will be part of the consent that involves the reimers ranch and the hogue tract, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, purchasing items, 9 --
>> judge, [inaudible - no mic] read modification 2. Instead of --
>> yes. [indiscernible]
>> okay. On number 9 it says modification number 1 to contract number --
>> should be modification number 2, everything else is fine.
>> number 2.
>> thank you.
>> legal? That's all right?
>> > louder.
>> yes.
>> thank you.
>> we'll have 9 on consent with that correction. Number 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, just a question.
>> any issues on 14.
>> is it ready? We were waiting on some releases, et cetera. This is one that we had pulled.
>> I don't know about that one.
>> do you want to hold off on that one?
>> I do have a signed agreement from the --
>> that's what we were waiting on.
>> is it ready?
>> yes, sir.
>> any objection to its being on consent? That was number 14. Right?
>> uh-huh.
>> number 15, are we supposed to have backup on 16? Joe?
>> joe?
>> on 16?
>> Austin state hospital, that's not joe, that's the sheriff. It's fairly routine, this modification to a janitorial services contract.
>> judge, what it was, it's adding paper supplies and hand soap to the existing contract.
>> that's real important.
>> yes, it is. But that's what the mod was, was to add something to the --
>> certainly want to get that done. Therefore, any objection to 16 being on the consent motion? It will be added. Number 17, adding one additional broker to the one that's we approved last week.
>> did they sign?
>> yes, they did.
>> cool.
>> number 18, 19, 20, was that supposed to be backup on 22?
>> [indiscernible]
>> I would like to report a backup thief in the county judge's office. We just discuss 22 today, no action? Okay. 23, 26, and I didn't get anything on 27, do you know what the [indiscernible] my office can contact our county clerk and see if there are issues to discuss on item no. 27 today.
>> judge, very briefly, back to item 23, do we need to read the names of those individuals as we do the consent motion? Because it's not listed there. I’m happy to do that very quickly.
>> okay.
>> steven gonzalez, kathy caballero, bob ross, robert bob ross, russell toth, and linda mcmaster, we will make sure that the clerk has all of their [indiscernible]
>> these are all from our precinct 2 Commissioners, so if you have questions about them, contact her.
>> judge, did you call out item 18, did you put that on consent?
>> yes, sir.
>> okay, you did. Okay. I missed that one. Thank you.
>> 18 is on consent. My question was whether the amounts in item no. 28 reflect current competition. As far as I know they do.
>> judge, I actually have an answer if you --
>> go ahead.
>> I had a very good meeting with mike [indiscernible] not on this one, but the one about combined communication system. Within these contracts they already had the mechanism in place that if there was a modification related to compensation, they try to estimate it as best they can, they can go ahead and make those changes and they have done that in the past, so these are all issues that have been resolved on these. Yes, indeed they can do it exactly.
>> you are not here on that item, are you?
>> no. Hold on one second. Okay. 28 in its entirety, so 28 a through 28 b, 29, and 30.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> now -- [indiscernible]
>> [inaudible - no mic]
>> a 5 should really be approved after item no. 25 c. Which is the reimbursement resolution related to the purchase of land in southwest Travis County.
>> all right, we will pull a 5 for the consent motion. That's the $14,333,323 item. So we will all highlight that one. [laughter] and come back to it after we discuss the reimbursement resolution. And the other matters. Would anyone like for us to pull any of these items or discuss any of these items separately. If so -- say so -- if so say so now. Otherwise we will approve all of the ones that we just called out. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. With a full court here.
