Number two is to approve resolution celebrating October 25th, 2005 as weatherization day in Travis County and recognizing the Travis County housing and weatherization program. Should I do the honor of reading the proclamation? It reads, whereas October is national energy awareness month and Travis County has a long-standing commitment to conserve its resources and to help low income households through its weatherization assistance program. Whereas the department of energy's weatherization assistance programs and the Travis County home repair program, through the efforts of Travis County housing services provide weatherization assistance and energy savings to families in need by spending over $833,000 on 526 Travis County residents in the past 12 months, protecting our citizens from some of the impact of fuel market fluctuations and assisting families to move towards self-sufficiency. Whereas through the services provided by the Travis County housing services unit, families experience an average energy use reduction of 10% and whereas the department of energy has designated October 30th, 2005 as weatherization day, 2005, a special day celebrating the past, present and future accomplishments of the weatherization assistance program, and those involved dedicated to providing services to families in need, now therefore be it resolved that we the Travis County Commissioners court here by affirm our commitment to the continued implementation of both the weatherization and home repair programs in Travis County, recognize October 30th, 2005 as weatherization day in Travis County. And I move approval. Morning.
>> morning. Judge, Commissioners, I’d like to begin by introducing the staff. I think y'all know bob peterson. He's the manager. He does facilities, housing and a few other miscellaneous things for us. Michelle small, I think her title is administrative assistant, but michelle does many, many, many different functions for housing. And we have the crew leaders, dave and darwin. And they're the ones that kind of are behind the scenes, getting the clients and the houses all organized and the carpenters of course are in the field doing the work. We're very proud of what we do at housing and we're thingful for the state money that we receive that helps us do these programs and this weatherization is a state program. We've got two guys, I think these two, that will go to the weatherization conference in atlanta shortly. It was actually scheduled to be held in new orleans, and due to a hurricane, the weatherization conference was schedule. So a real thank you to all the people who help actually take care of the clients and the houses and all the work that they do.
>> comments? We appreciate all that you do. Thank you. We'll have that proclamation for you in just a minute, ms. Fleming. And three and four are special items that I’m told we don't need today or do we need? Favor faif? That passes by unanimous vote. That vote was on the weatherization proclamation. Three and four are regarding hurricane rita and hurricane katrina respectively. No action required today. Just leave those on for next week in case we need them?
>> yes, sir.
