5. Receive update and take appropriate action on appropriate assistance in response to hurricane rita.
>> > good morning, judge Biscoe, I’m executive manager for our health and human services. We basically have no update for you this morning. We will advise the court that we will have a formal report from staff on October 18th as we promised when we initially brought this item to your attention.

>> > [indiscernible] going pretty smooth.
>> > yes, sir, we are continually struggling with how to maintain contact with the evacuees and we appreciate the help that we received from the both the media and church organizations who are attempting to help our new residents with services in our community.
>> > okay. So we are not as -- we are not as vocal about assistance, but it's still available for those who inquire. And they should -- they should call the number that's we have made available, including I guess the money 21 -- 211.
>> > yes, 211 is the place to start.
>> > if you can't, get county or human services and we will get you in touch with those who can help.
>> > also with any special needs, we can help with referrals to those as well.
>> > okay.
