Why don't we pull -- a little out of order. 4, approval resolution celebrating national 4-h week in Travis County. Which item is this?
>> item 4.
>> I put this on? It reads whereas, 4-h is a community of young people across america who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Whereas 4-h is one of the largest youth organizations in Texas with really one in every 10 Texas youth are involved in 4-h. Whereas 4-h in Texas claims over 1.1 million youth members and over 34,000 adult volunteers, while Travis County's 4-h program numbers over 19,000 members and over 460 volunteers. Whereas 4-h as part of the Texas cooperative extension in Travis County is a program where youth learn together in all kinds of projects, events and activities. And whereas 4-h has been helping youth and adults learn, grow and work together for more than 100 years. Now therefore be it resolved that we the Travis County Commissioners court do hereby proclaim October 2 through 8, 2005 as national 4-h week in Travis County and urge the people of this community to take advantage of the opportunity to become more aware of this special program which gives youth the chance to learn together and on their own as part of Travis County's 4-h, and to join us in recognizing the unique partnership between our county and Texas a&m university system. And I move approval.
>> second.
>> good morning.
>> good morning.
>> we're very happy to be here today. We have some of our community club members as well as some of our after-school club members. We are very happy to have the support that we have through the Commissioners court. It is indeed an honor to represent the 4-h youth here in Travis County. And at this time some of our 4-h youth would like to thank you for the support that you have provided us throughout the many, many years that 4-h has been an active presence here in Travis County. And they have a little thank you for you today. Would any of you like to say hello to the Commissioners and the judges? Well, at this time they will go ahead and make their presentation then. [laughter]
>> is this the most expensive one here? [laughter]
>> thank you very much.
>> thank you so much.
>> thank you all.
>> thank you very much. These are very heavy.
>> I’ve got lots of stuffed animals upstairs. And we just want to let everybody know that on the 4-h program we are expanding our commitment to 4-h through the after-school network. That was one of the things that we funded and I think sherry is probably going to correct me, but I think it's 15 more schools with the cord inators we're going to be able to hire on the after-school network so we're reel proud of our partnership.
>> we will be moving into the elementary feeder schools for our after-school program so we're excited about the court's support of that program.
>> you do great work.
>> thank you.
>> that passes by unanimous vote. Keep up the good work.
>> great orange. [inaudible].
>> I won't tell on you. [laughter]
