Let's call back to order the voting session of Tuesday, September 6th, 2005. Late yesterday evening we recessed two items until today. We recessed item number 22, consider and take appropriate action on recommendations from outside consultants, administrative review. Including staffing, reorganizational structure. Accreditation and procedures and medical examiners office. And we also recessed item number 36, consider and take appropriate action to set elected official salaries for fy '06 and requested specific information concerning the salary of the Travis County district attorney. We will now need to convene in executive session to discuss both of these items under the consultation with attorney and personnel matters exceptions to the open meetings act. We will discuss only these two items and we'll return to open court before taking any action.

>> item 22 involves the medical examiner's office. I move that we authorize the immediate hiring on a temporary basis of danny hobby, former executive manager/coordinator for Travis County emergency medical services, that we ask mr. Hybid to commence employment on a part time basis tomorrow, September 8th, 2005, and that we request hrmd to process the necessary paf to bring him on board at the same hourly rate as he was making at the time of his retirement from the county. Any discussion? That cover everything? The other issues involving the medical examiner's office will be covered during the budget markup today. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. On 32, regarding the da's salary, I move that we simply leave the Travis County supplement at the same amount that it's been I guess the last three or four years, $29,438.14. This will be added to the state-approved compensation of whatever that amount is. Discussion? All in favor? Show Commissioners Gomez, Davis, Sonleitner, yours truly voting in favor. Voting against. Commissioner Daugherty. That does it for the September 6th voting session of the Travis County Commissioner's court. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. I’m advised by media that we need to recess for five minutes to give them an opportunity to set up for the budget mark-up voting session.
