Number one special recognition. 1. Recognize Travis County for receiving the Texas association of counties best practices award for exceptional delivery of service by the historically underutilized business (hub) program.
>> good morning, cyd grimes, county purchasing agent. I have bonnie floyd with me, civil via lopez, jerome guerrero. I was going to call him pilgrim is taking pictures. I appreciate the court doing this. This is our hub program that we have been administering now for Travis County. We have spent almost $100 million in those 10 years with hub firms in our local community. This promise is recognized by the Texas association of county for a program that significantly improves public access or use of the county's service. By focusing on going the extra mile and providing services beyond established performance standards. We are very lucky to have sylvia, betty and jerome and also all of the folks in my office who help support the hub program and everyone in Travis County who makes the effort to ensure that small minority businesses are included. We appreciate you all recognizing us and we are very honored to be here, sylvia, would you like to say a word?

>> good morning, I’m sylvia lopez, I’m the hub program coordinator. It was an honor for us to receive the award. It was a proud moment for Travis County.

>> thank you. It was great to see Commissioner bristol here this morning. I reminded her that her and judge Biscoe pushed us hard on this, Commissioner Gomez and now all of the rest of you from the very beginning, so it was nice to see Commissioner bristol here this morning.
>> let's let her touch that award, but make sure she doesn't try to take it away [laughter]
