Don't need the county attorney though who requested a postponement of that item so let's discuss it briefly. 37, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in rosenbaum v. We do need the county attorney to receive the update to be able to give us legal advice today or next week. 38, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding the matter of the application of magna-flow international, inc., permit no. That's the consultation with attorney exception. 42 postponed until next week. Will not discuss that one. 43, consider and take appropriate action to appoint interim criminal justice planning coordinator and interim emergency services coordinator and take related personnel actions as needed. That's the consultation with attorney and the personnel matters exceptions to the open meetings act. We'll discuss these in executive session and will return to open court before taking any action.

we were in executive session earlier and discussed several items that we have not acted on yet. We discussed number 34 that involves slot number 7 at the precinct 2 constable's office. I move that we give directions to county staff, hrmd, the county attorney's office and other appropriate staff to attempt to find an appropriate job, get an interview for the employee in slot 7 and be ready to report back to the commissionrs court next Tuesday. The goal here is to find a comparable position to the one this employee occupied in the constable precinct 2 office. And to encourage elected and appointed officials and managers who work for the Commissioners court and otherwise to assist in this endeavor. May authorize the county judge to assist the committee as much as possible and to stay out of the way if he cannot help. How's that?
>> we need closure on this issue and for everybody involved to move forward.
>> right. If a phone call from me will help, i'll do it. Otherwise I won't make it. Is that a second? Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We discussed number 35 that involves powe versus Travis County. No action today.
>> [inaudible - no mic].
>> we'll have it back on next week. Did we say we would on powe? I'll stick it on just in case. If we don't need it, we can take it off, john. Number 36 we discussed that involve ken rush versus Travis County. Move that we reject the settlement offer. Discussion?
>> no counter?
>> no counter. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We discussed number 37. Just got an update really. Do we need it back on next week just in case?
>> back on next week. Probably -- we may need it on the week after next. I don't think we will have anything next week. Judge.
>> we can have 26, that would be good, let's have it on then and have something. We promise to move on this expeditiously, so hopefully we'll have something. 38, we did get an update, the magna flow item. And we need to give ourselves a little additional time to meet with the residents and see where they land on. We'll have this one back on next week too. Okay. That's July 19th. Number 39, we did discuss. I move that we extend the leave with pay for an employee in slot 64 for 11 days, which would carry this employee through July 14th. So it would include two more days. Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 40, we discussed also. And a strategy will be for us to have a discussion of county wide security matters real, real soon, but to authorize the purchase of the very needed and critical diamond 2 software, which will cost $30,750, and which should be funded from our security reserve fund.
>> I believe, judge, that -- (indiscernible) with seven thousand dollars. It's a software issue. So the differential from the -- (indiscernible).
>> I thought it was 75? Seven or 75?
>> [inaudible - no mic].
>> its is too late to withdraw that now. $7,000 from its. That's part of the motion. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We did not discuss 41. We will have that back on the court's agenda next week, as well as number 42. Hopefully for discussion and action. We did discuss 43. And received -- does anybody have his recommendations handy? Can you read them? This item involves aappointment of interim criminal justice planning coordinator and interim emergency services coordinator. I move that we appoints the interim emergency services coordinator, pete baldwin, who will be responsible for all e.m.s. Coordination functions. And I guess if we make this immediately, we ought to discuss compensation at some point, shouldn't we?
>> two, that we name as the criminal justice coordinator carol coburn as interim. Carol helped us once before, and because no good deed goes undone and we believe that firmly, we'll ask her to do this for us again and she has agreed and a subset of this is that vinny Davis is in the criminal justice planning department already and will assist with the office management functions. That we create an interim planning manager over criminal justice planning initiative in the person of the reserve field can I kimberly pierce and her responsibility to be to manage project initiatives and the direction for criminal justice planning project while in this transition period. And basically give her a chance to work a bit more closely with the court, which some would see as an advantage, and that we authorize attempt to go through our application review and interview and selection process as expeditiously as possible. Is that motion long enough? And probably have an item on the agenda next week involving compensation, we probably ought to chat with --
>> [inaudible - no mic]. I think there's a standard amount they have to do when doing an interim slot, and the appropriate psa forms being submitted for approval -- related to personnel items.
>> sounds, good, a chat with the affected employees about that. That was a second for that? Any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We have finally come to the end of today's agenda.
>> move adjourn.
>> all in favor? An enthusiastic unanimous vote
