>> morning.
>> good morning. I’m mona gonzalez, I’m the executive director for the river city youth foundation. Joining me today representing dads and grandads are albert almanza who is the chairperson of the river city youth advisory board and mr. Chuck tilly who is with the river city youth foundation board of directors, and he is right over here. And also joining us today are children that are representing the thousands and thousands of children in our community who are blessed every day by positive involved dads and dad role models. Now, we have a little banner...
>> can you come up?
>> can they just --
>> yeah, just come on up. There you go.
>> [speaking in spanish]
>> yeah, there you go.

>> watch the wires down there. There you go.
>> we are so proud to be here and so happy to be here to invite the public to the fifth annual father's day rally and parade that is happening the weekend before father's day on Saturday June 11th. As you know, river city youth foundation provides year round after school, weekend and summer programs that provide healthy children and families. We strongly support the positive role of dads. All the research shows the advantages to the children and to the families and to the community of having a positive involved caring dad role model in their lives. Today we proudly invite everyone to come out on Saturday and this year we have something really special. We have the soccer game that is taking place. You can register. It's free. At 8:30 in the morning. Sam, I would love to have you come out at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday. It would be lovely. Followed by the parade at 10:30 in the morning and this parade will start right there at the dove springs library and we will walk over to river city youth foundation where fajitas, hot dog, hamburgers and prizes and a lot of dad role models will be there to growth us. So to bring together the schools, the families, the neighborhoods to honor the value of fathers, to develop a community of fathers and father figures that are connected to the development of children and youth in their schools and in their neighborhood, we have put together in wonderful annual event and now it's time to do the vent on Saturday. And we so want everyone to come and join us, the junior league of Austin is helping us to sponsor it, the world shakers, sace, father's advocating children, communities and education, and we are so delighted to have picked up so much support for this vent this year, so everyone come out, enjoy this activity, and lend your support to something that is very, very important in this society for the sake of our children. We thank you so much for allowing us to come before you today, and extend that personal invitation to each and every one of you. I know we've got some good dads on this court too. Thank you very much.
>> yes.
>> the organization is a little over 20 years and every year in January we sit down and we talk about are we going to exist when we're -- and we want to thank everybody in the city of Austin, Travis County, and beyond for helping us make the river city youth foundation a real success. Without your help, it would have never been -- never been able to exist and thanks to mona gonzalez, the only executive director, she has been steadfast throughout the years and believe me when I say that January comes along are we going to be able to exist for another year. It's been hard. Its been very rewarding to see some of these youngsters come along and go beyond and become better citizens and that's what we're trying, you know, to do, so... Join us on Saturday and make this a real success. Thanks for your time.
>> thank you.
>> thank you.

>> I want you to introduce mrs. Parer sevment, she's here representing the family along with luis junior. Mr. Pareres is at work right now.
