Item 32

View captioned video.

That is number 32. Consider and take appropriate action on mayor's request for county appointment of non-voting member to city of Austin citizens bond advisory committee. I guess the intention here was simply to give Travis County an opportunity to remain updated on the bond matters being considered by the city of Austin advisory committee. What I received was simply what was in the letter that we attached as backup. Any recommendations? I don't know of any court member who would want to --
>> t.n.r. Or --
>> they are all like beyond booked because of our own bond committee assignments.
>> well, judge, the issue that I have for 32 is that -- is that from what I understand, the -- the direction that I think is going to be given to this bond advisory committee from the city is going to be predicated on what ect has said. And I’m -- I’m not --, you know, I’m personally not interested in it especially if you are in a non-voting member status on this thing.
>> [indiscernible]
>> can we ask to be a part of the mailing list? You know so that anybody that wants to drop in on their committee work could do so. [multiple voices]
>> drop us an update through e-mail?
>> provide an e-mail update?
>> I would think so. It may be after our own bond election in November that we see fit to assign somebody to it because I get the impression that they are aiming for may of next year.
>> okay.
>> so we would have time after our bond election.
>> yeah, okay. I think we need to know what's going on.
>> yeah, maybe just get on their mailing list.
>> uh-huh.
>> okay.
>> note of appreciation.
>> uh-huh.
>> for the invitation, I guess.
>> Gerald, do you not want to go on this? [laughter] we can make it happen.
>> uh-huh. There's a motion and a second. Motion by Commissioner Sonleitner, seconded by Commissioner Gomez. We will get just a letter out, the invitation came from the mayor. So I would just send it to the mayor and I guess he will share it with the city council. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
