Now we have one more before executive session, if that one is ready. And that is to receive and discuss mid-year revenue report for fiscal year 2005.
>> judge, what about 24?
>> it's quick and dirty.
>> yes.
>> good morning, judge, Commissioners, I’m with the auditor's office. Our tradition for several years has been to begin the revenue estimating process by giving you an update on where we are in the current fiscal year. And as in the past we've divided it into two sections, the general fund and all the other funds. The general fund is doing pretty well. If we had to forecast right now, we might say a little below what we had budgeted for current revenue, but we've had only six months' experience, so we've got a long way to go. But we should be, we feel, pretty close to what we put in the budget for new revenue. Plus I think as we mentioned in the letter, the beginning balance came in a little more than we thought, so overall we think we -- you should have the resourced that we thought would be in the budget for the general fund. The taxes are a little behind where we would kind of like to see them, but we're pretty close. Last year at this point we were at 98.89 of budget and this year we're at 97. Obviously most of our taxes are in, and we're close to last year. Not a whole lot really other than what we've told you on general fund. We can answer any questions.
>> let me ask you something while we're talking about this. On the tax revenue, I want to make sure that I understand. You said that we're at 97.7 of collections?
>> of budget.
>> of budget.
>> of budget, yeah.
>> versus this time last year we were a little over 98.
>> 98.1. So we're just a little behind where we were last year at that point.
>> but you have a note here that delinquent tax revenue is better than last year.
>> delinquent taxes are doing pretty well. We think overall for the category of taxes, we'll be close. It may be just a little short. One thing I might note, one of the reasons we may be a little short on current revenue is if you recall, one of the things you wanted in the budget this year was a transfer of 996,000 for the bridge fund. I thought that was going ton an '05 fund, it turned out from a county point of view it had to be done at the end of '04. So that's current revenue won't come in, but it was in your beginning balance, so that's one reason your beginning balance was a little more than we thought. So it's a mechanical thing, but it's big enough I really ought to mention it. But I think overall the general fund should be awfully close to what we had anticipated. And we didn't have a whole lot of comments on the other funds. Carol and I looked at it separately and sort of looked at each other and said there's not a whole lot to say. Most of them are doing about what we expected at this point.
>> I know you've got a notation here that the school revenue will be much later, but there are some issues with our lovely friends a block away from here about whether we will indeed get those funds or not.
>> I heard that last week and I think our ears kind of pricked up and we'll be watching that one.
>> any comments? Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
