Let's call up number 30 while they are on their way here. Actually on 30, we all know that mr. Hobby has been waiting on sort of a formal arrangement from his church on permanent [indiscernible] and that has come through. There is a copy of his letter of resignation attached, accepted.
>> second.
>> discussion? We thank him. He's done an outstanding job for Travis County. When he came aboard, we thought we would have him for two or three months. As it turned out, I think he had been with us at least a couple of years. So we appreciate that. All in favor. That passes by unanimous vote. With Commissioner Gomez out today and Commissioner Davis out for the rest of the morning. And b is post emergency services coordinator position immediately. In the backup I attached a copy of the recently revised job description for this position. And I looked at it and I think it pretty much does what --
>> we looked at this when we were doing the trimble slot.
>> recommended changes? I move approval of this and that we post it immediately until filled.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote by those present also. C is adopt strategy to fill this position temporarily and make permanent hire, as job duties and responsibilities require. I-late yesterday and tried to capture my thoughts on this. I did have a couple of conversations with danny and it appears if he could have a k-pl of weeks to work with like an interim apointy, he thinks -- appointee, he thinks it would help him. And the emergency services committee, that's Commissioners Daugherty and Sonleitner, right?
>> it's e.m.s.
>> it's e.m.s.
>> it's not emergency services. But it's part of it. I think it's the closest we've got, judge.
>> that would be my suggestion. And I do think that what we -- we ought to have some target for -- if we post immediately, if we could have a rough deadline, and I think it is because in the past sometimes it's taken us quite a long time to fill the list, interview and make a suggestion. If we make an interim appointment by next week, and I don't know that we have other choices, I kind of put two down here. I had a hard time coming up with a third one. I think we ought to post that. And then we can give some thought to short listing next week if we want to. But I do think we ought to try to get it posted this week and catch the budget the next cycle. Those are my thoughts on that. I guess we try to make the interim point next Tuesday April 12 and that we post the position immediately and have the other parts for follow-up discussion next week. I think we ought to set some target dates.
>> judge, if we could ask alicia and h.r. To assist us in terms of what they think are logical dates to be able to shoot for. Assistance on the danny hobby slot of how much we need to back time that in terms of what our logical dates that we could hit, that would be help few. Because h.r. Is going to be a part of this. They were very helpful in the other slots in terms of receiving and collecting them for the subcommittee to --
>> sure. And I guess part of that question would be do you want to advertise in journals, do you want to advertise outside the Austin metropolitan area?
>> let's discuss that next week too. How's that.
>> sure.
>> the two things covered by the motion are interim appointment by next week and post the position immediately. It would be the same job description. Let's talk about advertising. One thing would be the cost. And I guess [inaudible] any more discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We'll have this back on next week for further discussion. And there will be two other members of the court here. My guess is -- I think they would have supported those.
