29. Consider and take appropriate action regarding hail damage to county property and vehicles during a severe storm on March 25, 2005.
>> as the court has been made aware earlier today, I think last week, there was a severe storm that came through the Travis County area on March 25th. In addition to causing wind damage, there was significant hail damage caused to our vehicles and some of our property located in the west side of Travis County, as well as partial damage, wind damage to the east side structures. What we have, our property insurance policy covers our vehicles that are parked on our premise miss and so the hail damage to our vehicles are covered under our property insurance. But there is a 50,000 deductible on the property policy. So what we are asking the court to do is authorize us to pay up to $50,000 deductible to -- to cover the repairs to the vehicles. Most of the damage that we are talking about is windshield lenses, operating things that have to be repaired for safety reasons. Body damage we are working with fleet maintenance to identify those that may need repair. Some of them may not need repair. We also have some building damage to west side service center and I think there were a couple of trailers, one hazmat trailer at hudson bend, one trailer at the command center at tcso that was damaged by hail. So we are asking permission to pay up to the ductible amount so that we can expedite repairs.
>> so moved.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
>> thanks very much.
