13. Consider and take appropriate action on request to authorize the purchasing agent to commence negotiations with the highest ranked firm in reference to rfq no. Q050047mb, professional consulting services, tccc design-build project.
>> good morning, judge, Commissioners, cyd grimes, Travis County purchasing agent. As you recall last week we came forward with a short list and asked that we be able to interview those firms. We have done that. And ranked them, hok, again, came out as the top ranked firm. We would like to begin negotiations with them for our project at del valle. I included in the backup, I believe, it's the next to the last page, an executive summary of their qualifications. And their team. As you'll notice, several of those teams are hub firms here in Austin. And hok has years of experience in jail planning and operations so that's who we would like to negotiate with.

>> cyd, do you believe that there is clear understanding that this team, for lack of a better phrase, will be married to whomever does the second piece of this in terms of who actually would get a contract to actually construct this facility?
>> they will be -- this team will help us put together our design bid documents, procurement documents, which is something that we have not undertaken yet in a large way. We have done smaller ones. They understand their role. And they have done it. They have done it. They have been the -- they have been this partner, they have been the other side, so they have a real good understanding of how that process works. They understand it.
