>> quinlan park road is a very long road that goes the entire peninsula of this area. And when steiner ranch developed, they were going to develop in sections. Originally this section between quinlan park road between highway 620 and their development was a county road. But we realized at the time that -- that that's probably where the traffic was going to be the greatest because the other end was a dead end. So all of the traffic migrated up the peninsula until it reached 620. As a result, we need to improve quinlan park road in that section first. And that needed to be a multi--lane arterial. So we entered into a master agreement with the -- this the steiner ranch that would have a systematically upgrade quinlan park road where it needed to be upgraded because of development. We are at the point now after many, many years where most of the development has come in, a new road was constructed on quinlan park road, widening the old two-lane county road, and what this -- what this agenda item does is basically -- clean up a lot of right-of-way where we had old right-of-way that we no longer need, we are vacating that. In the meantime, we are picking up right-of-way that was dedicated to the public so that we could expand the roadway. Basically, this is what this item is all about. Straightening up the right-of-way we get right-of-way where we need it, to accommodate the road that's built. We give up right-of-way where we no longer need the old right-of-way.
>> joe, I have a note that says t.n.r. Needs to announce correction to this item.
>> yes. When we posted the item, we labeled it as two portion of right-of-way. And in reality it's just one portion of right-of-way. Just -- a --
>> it's so minor that we can proceed?
>> that's correct.
>> notwithstanding the error. Any objections called to our attention? Commissioner Sonleitner.
>> just a question. When I first came on board, '95-'96, one of the first things that we wound up doing was a major cleanup of quinlan park road, basically it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Is this just a left over piece of that massive cleanup that I thought we had accomplished about 10 years ago.
>> yes. This is additional pieces. This now pretty much takes care of the entire roadway.
>> thank you.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing? If so, please come forward.
>> move to close the public hearing.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
