23. Consider and take appropriate action on issues involving requested use of baseball fields at northeast metropolitan park by two area nonprofit youth baseball leagues.
>> charles is here to give us like a very, very brief status report in case this comes back next week you are not blind sided. But no action today.
>> that is correct. Charles burg with t.n.r. Parks. We've had a little conflict going on with the two groups that are vying to use the new baseball field up at Pflugerville. There's 8 fields that have gone in up there. We have two organizations that are vying for it. We have an existing interlocal with the city of Pflugerville whereby it gives local organizations kind of first right of refusal or first right to schedule those fields. We are basically working with these two groups, trying to get them to negotiate what their needs are in lieu of us having to do a lottery which stipulates, it's stipulated such in the interlocal. We deal with a lot of different groups in the greater metropolitan area for use of our fields, soccer communities, probably the biggest user. They are able to sort out their conflicting field use by negotiation. We are -- we are planning to meet with these guys next Monday night to -- to finish up our discussions with them. If we can't have it resolved by Monday night, we will bring this back Tuesday for court presentation. And discussion.
>> things are moving quite well. They had a very good meeting last week, which there was a realization by all involved that perhaps the capacity issue out there, that they thought existed does not exist and therefore there ought to be plenty of fields for everyone involved out there. So we've got some good progress and those sentiments are echoed by city manager david beasing who also attended that meeting that it seems like everybody is on a good course, but I didn't want anybody to be blind sided in case it doesn't work out. Thank you.
>> ask that they resolve it themselves.
>> thank you.
>> we will have it back on just in case we need it.
>> questions, comments from the court?
>> thanks y'all.
