30. Draw names from grand jury pool for elected officials salary grievance committee for 2005, and take appropriate action. Good morning, dana debeauvoir Travis County clerk. Pursuant to the local government code, chapter 152, 013 and 014 of that section calls for us to draw the names of at least nine public members of a grievance grand jury to be convened later on this year as part of our budget session if we need it. So what I would like to do with your permission is proceed with the drawing of names that have been pulled from the 2004 grand jury membership list. We that be all right?
>> how many names do we normally pull to try to get nine.
>> we normally pull four apiece, that gives us 16, gives us some extras. The first one of each one is the one that we take in order. First one and then your second one, so that you fill the panel that way.
>> four times five is 20. Do -- have we been excluding the county judge.
>> no. We have not. So we have 20, will that be all right with everybody, pull those names.
>> okay.
>> I'm not getting my math real good this morning.
>> that's all right. That taas test was not in place when we finished high school.
>> pick four. We will call them.
>> as for my constituents who are watching this process and wondering if this is fair, that's for them.
>> start with Commissioner 1, then 2, 3, 4, back to the judge for your second.
