And our last item today is number 28, consider and take appropriate action regarding an opportunity to purchase real estate in south central Austin. And that's the real estate exception to the open meetings act. We will discuss these matters in executive session, but will return to court before taking any action.
we have returned from executive session, we with discussed the following
items. Number 24, let's just ask staff and mr. -- and Commissioner Daugherty
to check with mr. Fleming, the property owner who came before us this morning
under citizens' communication, have a chat with him about the project and
we'll have it back on the agenda when it's ready. On item number 25, we will
ask staff to try to touch base with the property owner there, and see how
much time the county could get to respond to some of the questions and offer
that we have received. So that will be put back on when we need it, number
25. 26, let's have that back on next week, okay? And staff will check with
a couple of people on that one too and see what the appropriate action is
to take. We probably ought to get follow-up legal advice from council on that
one, but we have pretty much the same language, we got appropriate language
there. And item 27, we did not discuss. We'll have that back on next week.
We kind of ran out of time. And close to running out of people. We'll have
that one back on next week. 28 --
>> where we're at on that one is seeing more on due diligence
whether a lease with an option to purchase might be something that could work
out in terms of the first right of refusal, but to give instructions to staff
to pursue some alternative measures.
>> right. We need to address those legal issues that probably
are a lot more important to Travis County. Seconded by Commissioner Gomez.
Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. By the way,
Commissioners Daugherty and Davis had to run to another commitment. They left
just a few minutes ago. There is no further business today.
>> judge, just for the purposes of the record, we have made
some kind of talk earlier today that we may have to revisit item number 13.
That is no longer necessary.
>> okay. Good point. Move adjournment.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
