Health Facilities Development Corp
Now let's call to order the Travis County health facilities development corporation.
One item here. 1. Consider and take appropriate action on request to approve
invoice from people's community clinic. Good afternoon.
>> afternoon, him harvey Davis, manager for the corporation,
I’m here with regina rogoff the executive director of the people's community
clinic. If you will recall, last July the board approved a -- approved authorizing
an $85,000 contract with people's community clinic to help defray the costs
of remodeling their facilities on i-35. We in August we -- the contract was
executed. And they -- they have sent us now an invoice for the $85,000 contract
price. I do represent to the board that the people's community clinics has
fulfilled the -- the provisions of the contract to be -- to be so that --
so that I recommend that the board approve payment of this -- of this invoice.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> and I believe ms. Rogoff would like to say a few words
to the board.
>> all right.
>> I can wait until you vote.
>> yeah, that's fine.
>> I really just came to thank you all and invite to you
come by sometimes. The clinic looks beautiful. We really appreciate the investment
that you have made in the clinic and in the health care for the -- for the
uninsured people in Travis County.
>> all right.
>> well, I would like to appreciate and thank you for bringing
us to our attention. I know that the money was well spent and stuff like that.
So -- so again I thank you for coming before us to -- to help us, to allow
us to assist you. Help us out, I’m ready to vote.
>> I had both staff and patients express appreciation for
how nice the clinic appears now, how nice it is.
>> it is right. It's beautiful and it's efficient and effective
on top of that.
>> absolutely.
>> two parts that we funded. Efficiency and effectiveness.
