17, consider and take appropriate action on the following liability claim
recommendations, number 1, marco rodriguez, and the recommendation is to settle.
Is anyone here for 18?
>> this is a third quarter bodily injury claim that we're
bringing to you for settlement. Mr. Rodriguez was stopped behind a tnr dump
truck and it went back into his vehicle. The vehicle was a total loss and
property damage was $2,925. This is what we're bringing to you. In addition,
mr. Rodriguez had two passengers in his vehicle at the time, and recommended
compromise settlement is to pay mr. Rodriguez for his bodily injury and damages
of $3,500. One of the passengers for 3,000, and for the second passenger,
guadalupe rodriguez, we're recommending 750-dollar settlement.
>> and guadalupe is a child?
>> yes.
>> these settlements in the backup are higher but their close
to what their actual medicines were for this accident.
>> the initial demand for ms. Rodriguez was only $500. He
added 2825 for medical expense.
>> john, in our agenda item we simply listed mr. Rodriguez,
who is the driver. He had two passengers. Do we need to ratify the other two?
>> I would. You were going to try to settle the whole package
today.
>> yes. Let's do that and put those on consent next week.
We need to ratify the two that are unlisted, okay? See celia and guadalupe
we did not list.
>> you're right.
>> we can do that next week and clean it up and make sure
it's legal. But my motion is to approve as to all three.
>> second.
>> and 35 for mr. Rodry mr. Rodriguez, 3,000 for ms. Cruz
and 750 for guadalupe rodriguez.
>> (indiscernible).
>> Commissioner, (indiscernible).
>> any more discussions? All in favor? That passes by unanimous
vote.
>> thank you.
>> just a little ratification and put that on consent, the
other two, okay?
>> okay.
>> any checks that were going to go out, they would go out
next week when you ratify that. He's got to get settlement documents and things
like that signed anyway.
>> [ inaudible ].
>> okay. This short week... Okay. Thank you.
