Item 51

Let's take mr. Davis' item. It ought to be pretty fast. And that is number 51, consider and take appropriate action on request of -- request to appoint additional board members to the strategic housing finance corporation. E indicated we would appoint two. That would give them an odd number of seven. So it would be two of the three that we had that were interested and all of these have indicated a willingness to serve.
>> that's my understanding, yes, sir.
>> I asked mr. Davis to prepare a side by side comparison and it has the three with their employment experience and several awards and community summary. Those [inaudible].
>> that's correct. Tom dunlap and craig alter. I think craig is somewhat known by the board of directors of the Travis County housing finance corporation because he's worked on two bond projects that were -- have both been very successful.
>> do we think mr. Dunlap won't mind be on standby in case we need him in the future?
>> I would -- he would not mind, I’m sure.
>> move we appoint craig alter and joe albert feramos.
>> second.
>> discuss? And I thank mr. Dunlap for his interest if this passes and tell him basically -- I don't think we ought to go to eight. I think seven would be a real good number, but I’m looking for two who would be not only great contributors to the corporation but also who would keep us posted on developments and maybe see a greater need to communicate with us than the other five members of the board who really have a whole lot of other responsibilities. The good thing about these two is they will not have the routine housing authority duties and responsibilities to try to meet in addition to these. It will just about this corporation and really -- be this corporation. And right now it's only this, but right now it's starting off kind of slowly so I see their time requirement really sort of building with the program.
>> right.
>> and -- any more discussion of that? We do appreciate mr. Dunlap, though, and the way these have been going, he will have an opportunity to probably assist with this program before it's over.
>> I will communicate that to him. Thank you.
>> thank you for your work too. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
