Travis County Commissioners Court
November 9, 2004
Item 38
Joe, number 38, consider and take appropriate action on the proposed plan
to channelize the levee and 100 year flood plain of onion creek and southeast
metropolitan park.
>> I did have a chance to talk with the city of Austin and
they are agreeable to participating 50% in the cost of a review not to exceed
25,000. With that I guess at our next session we will be able to put together
a local agreement and scope of the service provided by the outside consultant
and then bring those back to court.
>> so the action required today is to take the city up on
its agreement and direct that an appropriate fee --
>> no, I think we can probably just do this directly with
purchasing. I don't think we'll have to go out for an r.f.p. On this.
>> interlocal with the city?
>> yes, we'll have to have an interlocal with the city.
>> and the 25,000 will be 125 each? Or 25,000 apiece?
>> no, no, not to exceed 25,000.
>> okay. All that's contained in the motion.
>> i'll second that.
>> that you made. Second Commissioner Gomez's motion.
>> have we identified a source for this?
>> have not yet, but --
>> she says with a smile on her face.
>> make sure we have that before we approve this.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
