Travis County Commissioners Court
November 2, 2004
Item 9
Judge, on number 9, I think those were the claims that I had some problems
with. I tried to get ahold of the sheriff a couple of times and I guess she
didn't have time to get back to me. All I want to do is just vote against
those.
>> delay one week?
>> we can if that's all right with the court.
>> do we have an explanation from the sheriff?
>> no, sir. Not that I know.
>> that tells me we we if we need the explanation, we ought
to get it. To 9-a, b and c, let's just take one more week on it. And dan,
can you call to sheriff's attention that we need -- our question last week
was what action was taken.
>> last week we approved all the ones that were, in my opinion,
were all right. These I thought were preventable. And so that was why I wanted
to touch base with her and I guess she just hasn't had time to call me back.
>> well, dan will make sure she's got time or somebody in
the sheriff's office will make sure between now and next Tuesday. Question
is what correct I have -- corrective steps were taken to prevent these accidents
from happening again.
>> i'll have it ready next week.
>> thank you very much.
