Number 6 is to approve 12 month extension, modification number 5, interlocal agreement number il 000273 ef, with Austin independent school district to provide adult basic education services. Frtion. , I just ask that that be pulled from the consent so that we can vote on it, I can be consistent with voting --
>> move.
>> second.
>> judge, let me bring this up. I am fully in support of this. But I think if there's any way possible for us to see if the city of Austin would like to assist or is the city of Austin assisting in this $100 endeavor, we are --
>> we are.
>> okay. Okay. Well, I got my answer. Commissioner Sonleitner said we are.
>> sherri wrote it, I’m just reading off her memo.
>> all right.
>> because I was looking for an answer. And I didn't have it yesterday. So -- so if the information has come forward to suggest that, then I’m in full support of it. That the city of Austin is assisting Travis County in its endeavor of esl and other after school care activities for -- for persons that -- that sign up and enroll in a particular program.
>> do we know offhand the city's monetary contribution?
>> [indiscernible]
>> all right. Send it to us by e-mail, we would appreciate it.
>> thank you.
>> thank you, sarah, I’m sorry, when I asked that yesterday, I was trying to get, you know, get in touch with you, I did talk to you, I didn't put that question on you, because that's another question that I had to get answered, that was one that came later, so it's kind of a -- kind of a -- kind of an expendent -- expedient request, I guess. Sorry to put you on the spot like that.
>> no problem.
>> I wanted to know if anybody was helping us out on this.
>> absolutely. I’m sure the court will be pleased with the partners in this effort. Because we know that these services are part of a continuum that help us in many other areas in emergency assistance, corrections, you know, people can speak english and have good basic education, they can -- you know, get jobs and hopefully not have to access some of the other services of the county.
>> help their kids with their home work.
>> absolutely.
>> thank you for the breakdown, also, of the performance because I think that's very important. That was something else that kind of convinced me that it would be really good to support because of performance measures that were laid out. Letting us know exactly how it's working and what we are getting out of the money that we are investing. These are the results. Those kind of performance measures continually are needed as we make decisions on some of these social service type of programs.
>> thank you, Commissioner. It was our pleasure.
>> thank you.
>> all in favor? Show Commissioner Davis, Sonleitner yours truly voting in favor. Commissioner Daugherty voting against.
