Travis County Commissioners Court
October 5, 2004
Item A-1
A 1 is to consider and take appropriate action on -- consider and take appropriate
action on request to transfer funds to Travis County hospital district pursuant
to chapter 281 of the health and safety code. This is a little different than
what we are used to seeing. Because we are trying to transfer this money to
the hospital district, but faster than we usually do.
>> I’m handing out to you the revised order. Comments from
the county attorney himself. Executive manager of p.b.o. That they wanted
to go ahead and mention the entire 2.5 million rather than just the amount
that was going to be going out in order today. Need to address both amounts.
And they wouldn't have to do a whole new order. They could just -- just represent
the amount next year, I guess it is, about this time for the -- for the balance.
>> okay.
>> okay.
>> this is consistent with our decision made during the budget
process?
>> as I understood the way that the budget process went,
yes, sir.
>> all right. Typically there is some sort of contract on
which the auditor may rely before making county funds available and so this
memorializes the action for us and makes it a lot more similar to how we want
to conduct business.
>> uh-huh.
>> any questions? Or comments? Okay. This will get it done,
that's why I move approval.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. What this
does basically is to make it available to the hospital district almost immediately.
>> probably tomorrow.
>> probably tomorrow.
>> okay.
>> thank you.
>> thank you all.
