15. Approve issuance of job order no. 6, minor construction and renovation
services contract no. 04k0203arv, williams and thomas, inc. D.b.a. Jamail
construction, for asbestos and mold abatement services at 1101 nueces. Good
morning.
>> good morning, judge, Commissioners. The contract before
you today is going to be funded from the risk fund on mold remediation and
restoration. And that -- that amounts to $31,656. But we are asking the court,
back when this project was first discussed with the court, risk management
had indicated that we would set aside 65,203 for mold remediation and restoration
work. What we would like to do in addition to the 31,656, we would like to
transfer the balance of that $65,203 to facilities to help just facilitate
getting that project working a little quicker instead of them having to come
through risk management. Are you able to do that as part of this item without
it being posted?
>> well, it -- I’m thinking that we can. I’m --
>> I was unaware of the issue, judge, at the time.
>> okay. This backup says that -- the am, the source of funding
for that is what.
>> risk funds.
>> yes.
>> so we can approve that. You are saying in addition to
that, you would like whatever is left to be -- why wouldn't you just have
another agenda item next week doing that?
>> yeah.
>> we can do that.
>> separate it.

>> yes.
>> separate it.
>> but this amount, in the risk management fund will take
care of this contract, it will get started on this project.
>> yes.
>> okay.
>> I move approval.
>> second.
>> that is to approve 15 and we will have another agenda
item covering.
>> the transfer.

>> right.
>> any more discussion? That will get it done for you. There's
no emergency if we -- if -- that requires us to act today rather than one
week on the balance, right?
>> no, that will be fine.
