Number 5 is a public hearing to receive comments on recommendation from Austin Travis County health and human services department to amend Travis County policies, procedures and regulations manuals, chapter 61, to include the regulation of permitting of public swimming pools, implement a fee table for permitting and review of plans for construction.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners. Sherry fleming, interim executive manager for health and human services. And this item is exactly as you read it, judge. This is a recommendation from Austin and Travis County health and human services to allow for permitting and a fee table for public swimming pools.
>> this is an activity that's already been occurring, but we never had the ability before to establish a fee for activities that were already occurring.
>> that is correct.
>> and the fee is what?
>> david lurie, health and human services, dennis roger also with health and human services. The only permit fee is $95 per pool or spa, and there's a planned review fee of $50, and there are approximately 150 pools and spas within the unincorporated area that we regulate.
>> and this is not the old classic, private backyard swimming pool. This is a public pool.
>> that's correct. These are public swimming pools, apartment buildings, hotels, motels.
>> okay. And we posted it today to give effective -- affected persons an opportunity to come down, give comments, ask questions, etcetera?
>> that's correct.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing?
>> move the public hearing be closed?
>> all in favor? That passes unanimously and that will be action item number 13 on today's agenda.
