32. Consider and take appropriate action to implement calendar year 2005
Travis County combined -- that probably ought to be calendar year 2004, Travis
County combined charities drive. And I have included in backup a copy of the
letter that I sent to the committee that I drafted. I won't stretch it to
say that they volunteered. These are hopefully one that's served this year,
though, last fall. As well as a couple of new people. I have -- I have attached
a proposed agenda. This is from the county judge. This is done under the heading
county judge should not get too far out front of the Commissioners court.
But basically we try to kick this off about this time every year, try to use
October and part of November to raise as much money as we can exo combined
charities. I thought that I would go ahead and get the committee to working.
So if there is no objection, I have called a meeting for Friday, September
10, 2004 between 12:00 and 1:00 because we were posted to have markup from
[indiscernible] start inspecting the afternoon.

>> if you have any comments or recommendations, feel free
to get them to us. What I tried to do here is give Austining opportunity to
Friday to brain -- give us an opportunity to brainstorm, come up with different
ideas. Different fundraising notions. My goal is that we would take these
things that we have done in the past that have been successful, repeat those,
hopefully add some things that other entities have done that have proven to
be successful. Any ideas would certainly be appreciated. Okay?
