10. Consider and take appropriate action on issues regarding the implementation of the Travis County hospital district. On Friday of last week, actually, last Friday at 2:00, Commissioner Sonleitner and i, along with other members of the internal committee, did meet with representatives of the maxwell, locke and ritter accounting firm, they are the one who's did the verifications, Commissioner Davis, Commissioner Sonleitner at the meeting, we will give you a copy of what they gave us. This will be on the court's agenda next Tuesday. What they did basically was to indicate after looking at appropriate documentation from Travis County that they would verify a tax rate similar to the one that's we have been using. And that is at .0144. Or 1.46 per $100 valuation. Which is completely in line with where -- what we have been discussing. This would be posted on next week. They are still working at the city of Austin and I think [indiscernible] they hope to have their work done by late this week. So we ought to know where they land with the city of Austin as the tax rate by next Tuesday, also. The other thing that we will have next Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Is the budget recommendation from the Travis County hospital district board of managers. So all of this ought to fit right in together. Nicely.
>> and [indiscernible] obviously the reason that we are concerned about what is the reduction over the city of Austin is because their reduction is directly proportionate to what is the money coming into the hospital district so that they know what their revenues are coming in from tax will be for this next year so we can appropriately set our [indiscernible] yeah.
>> mr. Collins, any other issues that the Commissioners court needs to address today regarding the Travis County hospital district?
>> I'm sorry, between the time that the item came up and the time that I got down here, you had some discussion and I'm not sure what that is.
>> tax rate verification work done by maxwell, locke and ritter accounting firm, that was the only issue that we discussed as well as the board of managers recommended budget being on our Commissioners court agenda next Tuesday at 1:30.
>> yes, sir.
>> which will be probably after the corporations, so about -- not 2:14 as today, but hopeful by about 1:45.
>> yes, sir. I have told the board and they will post a meeting so that they may all be here if they choose. The only other thing is, I know that you know this, is that you do have a request for cash transfer pending on the Commissioners court's agenda. So when you are ready to take that up --
>> request for a cash transfer today? Budget amendments and transfers?
>> no.
>> I think that you have in the administration budget in the county judge's office a sum of money that's at the disposal of the board of managers.
>> I'm talking about the request for the 2.5 million. The board is --
>> dreaded r word.
>> a little different than the administrative budget.
>> whole lot different.
>> the board is set to approve their budget tomorrow night. At this point they don't have anything official from either of the two possible bodies about what might be transferred. I know there's been discussion from this dais about your inclination to do that. So I don't know what reaction the board will have if they don't have anything official. But that -- you just asked were there other issues, that's the only other issue that I know of.
>> tomorrow.
>> we will do the right thing at the right time.
>> sure.
>> jim, jim, jim, before you run off ... I made a request last week, I don't know you may have -- my office may have it, I don't think so.
>> your seven questions.
>> no, not those [laughter] those haven't been completely answered yet. But the request that I made on the reserve from urban counties that have established hospital districts. We are working on collecting that information. I do not have it completed.
>> okay. I just wanted to know the status of it. Thank you, jim.
>> judge, the only other thing that I wanted to add to everybody is that I'm sure earl when he gets him, they were extraordinarily compliment terri of everybody -- complement terri of everybody at Travis County that worked on this, very nice things to say about the quality of paperwork that was presented to them, made their job very easy.
>> anything further regarding this item? It will be back on next week with the -- probably changed wording.
>> okay.
