11 is consider and take appropriate action on request to relocate the print shop and imaging from the holt build to go 5501 airport boulevard.
>> good morning. We are here before the court to request approval to move the print shop and the imaging divisions which are now located at the holt building to the south of where we are at now, move them from there to 5501 airport, which is a facility that we have completed phase 1 and will in a couple of weeks bring you phase 2. But in the meantime, we have other projects in the historical courthouse that we would like to begin serious work on, and in order to enable us to do that, the first step or one of the cornerstones would be to move constable 5 out of the historical courthouse into the holt building. Therefore today we're requesting moving the print shop and imaging divisions from holt to 5501 airport to allow us to begin our work at the historical courthouse. In terms of funding, we have funding for the project. Right now the airport boulevard project funds are 661,000, which we're not going to use all of it, but there's sufficient dollars this there to make the move and prepare the area that was going to be the disaster recovery center that will be now in phase 2 of the project. But to move the imaging and print shop into that area.
>> how much of it would it take?
>> how much money?
>> it's the construction of the print shop and imaging, it's going to cost about $185,000. It's about 6,000 square feet of area.
>> we previously talked about a long list of options and issues. So how will this affect the options? Or was this figured in -- was this move figured into all the other options anyway?
>> that's correct. And what happened, that's early on, we have the approval of the court to have the print shop and immaterial mainlying to move to airport boulevard, but they moved to the meadow building which is on phase 2 and i.d.s. Center was to be moved to the concrete building. Have you the concrete and metal buildings. What we're asking is to switch the location of the print shop and imaging to allow us to start doing the construction and renovation for the -- of the courthouse. And again, the cost would be about 186, and I think it's going to be done in about [indiscernible].
>> these two would go to the metal building still?
>> no, not the print shop and imaging. They are going to be in the concrete building. But i.t.s. And disaster center will go to the metal building. And we're going to go to the court in about two weeks with a full presentation about four options for the metal buildings.
>> so we think that the disaster facility or operation being in the metal building is all right?
>> yes, sir, we discussed this fully with i.t.s. Before we came to the court and in fact we're looking also at other options that may be more cost efficient.
>> okay. This move would not exacerbate the other problems we've been discussing, security, parking?
>> not really at all.
>> okay. Comments, questions?
>> move approval.
>> i'll second.
>> any discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
