Item 7
By the way, on the on the hospital district item, mr. Chielz is wishing to address us on that in executive session. What I'm handing out now is a copy of -- and it's the only thing i'll do, the 15 people who have applied for the board managers, and for one of the -- I asked for this list and we will pull out the ones that we get to do -- maybe one in there also. I thought this was a report for us, -- important to us to know who applied already. And two, two or three people have chatted with me already earlier who apparently haven't filed yet. What I did yesterday was send a couple of people e-mails reminding them for when they applied because when they talked with me earlier they sent in a resume, we have not adopted the application packet. I said you need to apply formally. Here's where you can access it or call my office and i'll be happy to send you one. But for those individuals it would be great to do that. I know that one notified the advisory committee members if they were interested or knew somebody interested to encourage them to go ahead and go through the application process. The other thing I have been doing is to advise them to apply with the county as well as the city to give themselves two bites at the apple. And this indicates we have 15 people who have applied so far. And four came in yesterday. We do expect this number to probably increase by another i'd say six, eight, 10 by the application deadline at 6:00 o'clock, July 1. Otherwise we will call up number 7 in executive session and get advice of council. I call -- I think jim collins has some advice to give us.
>> it's my understanding from an e-mail from clark that the city of Austin wound up extending their deadline so that their deadline and our deadline is one and the same. Which is helpful. We were a couple of days off, so this allows consistency related to the board.
