Item no. 5 is to approve modification number 6 to contract number 03 t 00640 j, refuse collection with waste management of Texas.
>> judge, what we're doing is changing the pickup at satellite number two to twice a week. As you know, we've consolidated our operations over there. Basically we shifted the trash over there. So we need to pick that up twice a week, which increases our price about $27. $27 a month.
>> I’m joyce thorson from walnut place neighborhood, and I realize this is useless, but I feel compelled to state for the record that Travis County should not be doing business with problem landfills. As only one of thousands whose property and life has been affected by the northeast landfills, I speak out against the plan of my county government to aid and abet the operation of the landfill that has recent infractions against state regulations and plans to expand to an enormous size and inappropriate area. In other words, we oppose any contract with either of the giles road landfills. Thanks for this opportunity to speak to you.
