That's the real property exception to the open meetings act. And the consultation with attorney just in case we need it. 34. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Walnut creek improvement association (jerry kilber resale deed), and take appropriate action. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 35. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Jo ann mccaleb (dudley atkins resale deed), and take appropriate action. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 36. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Thomas c. Thompson and dionne deaton (mark mcclure resale deed), and take appropriate action. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 37. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Sue jester stevenson (w. Doug gurkin resale deed), and take appropriate action. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 38. Consider response from mre ranch, ltd. (medway) on purchase contract approved March 2, 2004 for approximately 344.984 acres of land in connection with the balcones canyonlands conservation plan, and take appropriate action. That's the real property exception and the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 39. Consider opportunity to purchase real estate in central Austin, and take appropriate action. Real property exception to the open meetings act, also. We will discuss these items in executive session but will return to open court before taking any action.

>> we have just returned from executive session where we discussed the following items: number 33.
>> judge, I move that we -- for the cip project number o 1b 01-05-1ra, the blake-manor roadway improvement project, I move that we accept the offer from the parcel number 3 in the amount of $10,000.
>> second.
>> okay.
>> we can go through all of them.
>> we can do them one at a time or we can do them all. I'd rather do them one at a time, though.
>> any discussion of the first motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> the second motion on the same cip project, the herron family on parcel number 5, I move that we do just the driveway only -- to do the pavement on the driveway only for that particular parcel.
>> i'll second the counter.
>> and the counter is -- which is the counter.
>> which is the counter, right.
>> okay. So on that one we accept the amount, but not the driveway?
>> no, the driveway only is the motion itself, which is the counter itself. It's the pavement of the driveway for that parcel.
>> no money, just the driveway.
>> exactly. That's on parcel number 5.
>> okay. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> next is the teller family, parcel number 6. I move that we accept their offer of $5,125.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> and lastly, the mobley family, I move that we counter their offer for the parcel of 7-a and also 7-b, in the amount of $10,275.
>> i'll second that. And to make it clear, that's for both of those.
>> it's for 7-a and also 7-b parcel.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you, Commissioner. On item number 34, I move that we approve the draft tax resale deed and authorize the judge to sign on behalf of the Commissioners court. That prepared deed to jerry kilber, who has paid Travis County the amount of 8,551.56 cents in cash.
>> second.
>> any discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Item number 35, move that we authorize the county judge to sign the tax -- the prepared tax resale deed on behalf of the Travis County Commissioners court to dudley atkins who has paid Travis County $4,000 in cash.
>> judge, i'll second, but if I could just clarify. I believe we have two resale deeds, and there are two offers for $4,000.
>> that's right. Two.
>> there are two parcells.
>> okay due another deed. I've got one here. If there are two deeds, 4,000 each, with separate tracts of land described, so be it. So the motion is to cover two tracts of land for the total of 8,000, 4,000 each, to the same person?
>> yes, sir.
>> dudley atkins? That would be fine. I authorize the county judge to sign both seeds on behalf of the Commissioners court. Discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> [inaudible - no mic].
>> what are you asking, judge?
>> normally the originals are in another pile anyway. Let's put these two in my backup. Number 36, move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resale deed to mark mcclure, who has paid Travis County $11,323.43.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Number 37, I move that we authorize the county judge to sign on behalf of the Commissioners court the tax resale deed to w. Doug gurkin, who has paid Travis County $5,640.22.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> 38, judge, if we could put that back on in two weeks and we'll take a briefing from tnr, but we will have it back on the 27th.
>> we certainly will. We did discuss it, but we'll discuss it again later. 39 involves the possible purchase of real estate in central Austin. Move that we authorize the county staff, specifically pat ford, to execute on behalf of the Commissioners court a letter of intent to the broker or another authorized person associated with this property a letter of intent indicating Travis County's interest in purchasing the real property in question.
>> second.
>> we have previously authorized that certain due diligence steps be taken, and so those are to continue, and we expect to see a more detailed budget at the next meeting. And at that time identify a source of funding for what we do. Will that cover it?
>> and any and all other appropriate --
>> right.
>> -- paperwork that needs to come forward.
>> continue to work with county attorney staff to begin negotiations for contract terms.
>> our understanding is that last week we will have a draft contract to look at and be asked to authorize staff to go ahead and start negotiations with the other side. That's all in the motion. Discussion? All in favor? Show Commissioners Gomez, Sonleitner, yours truly voting in favor. Against, Commissioner Daugherty and Commissioner Davis. There being no further business before the court today, all in favor for adjournment?
