Item 31

View captioned video.

31 is to consider and take appropriate action on negotiation issues for agreement between the city of Austin and Travis County for emergency medical services and starflight e.m.s.
>> judge, this is probably going to take a minute or so to do this. We do not mind relinquishing that. He owes me --
>> i'd like to take the item right now.
>>
>> [one moment, please, for change in captioners]
>>
>> ... They were also presented to the court last Thursday in the work session.
>> is there a noacial to these?
>> -- is there a [indiscernible] to these?
>> we are recommending there --
>> all be no.
>> all be yes.
>> we are hoping for yeses [laughter]
>> I was thinking if there's a memo with a no inexplain nation, we can address that that would be good. Otherwise if we are supportive of affirmative responses, it simplifies it for us.
>> I think that I’m relatively -- I am a straight yes. The only thing is on 5, i've not developed an opinion about whether we should seek reimbursement, so I am open to put it on the table and talk about it, but I have not locked into the thinking that that is a great idea, but I would like to explore that, hear more about it, and it may be one of those things where we go, hum, that wasn't a good idea. But I’m open to discussing it. But I don't want that to be misinterpreted that I am supporting that position as the --
>> what if we change seek to negotiate?
>> there you go.
>> yes. Because that is all we are asking.
>> that gets me there.
>> that we we at least discuss it.
>> we are just asking for these to be put on the negotiating table, that's all.
>> I would say on 4, i've heard, I probably don't know any of the advisory committee members, unless I know them and I don't know they are advisory committee members, is that we are going to look at perhaps the reconstitution of that committee?
>> yes.
>> would that -- would the yes, would the reconstitution of that, are you all in agreement with that?
>> as someone who is on that advisory committee, they are seriously needing some direction from the Commissioners court as to what is our role, what is our purpose, because we seem to be floundering of lots of good people at the table and not clear direction as to what we are seeking in terms of advice.
>> I just found out that I do know someone that's on it, thank you very much.
>> yes. You know pat crocker, too.
>> also on 3, separation [indiscernible] between e.m.s. And -- and star flight.
>> makes total sense.
>> any other issues or discussions, comments? Move approval of the recommended list with the change noted.
>> second.
>> seek to negotiate. Seconded by Commissioner Sonleitner. Any more discussion of the motion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote, thank you all very much.
>> thank you.
