Item 33

33 is [indiscernible], right?
>> right. It's a standard form we worked out.
>> it says consider agreement to conduct joint election between Travis County and northwest Austin m.u.d. Number 1 and take appropriate action.
>> whenever we prepared this document with the m.u.d., We thought that there was -- they were going to be one of the few entities involved and the agency did come on board and so a.c.c. Has an overlapping jurisdiction with this little m.u.d. We were looking at the statute that can be read a couple of ways. Their m.u.d. Attorney feels like that agreement can stand on its own. Our initial impression was the same. That you can just approve that and we'll all be fine. A.c.c. Feels a little differently. Their attorney thinks we need to do an amendment similar to what we did in [indiscernible]. So you can approve this agreement and just move on, and you could also approve an amendment which would be a little two-page commitment which we've probably been talking back and forth that would include us, a.c.c. And the m.u.d.
>> those amendments were already approved.
>> you are way ahead of aous the amendments are already approved and the attorney for the m.u.d. Has expressed some reluctance to sign the amendments.
>> this is number 33, right?
>> right.
>> it's just Travis County and the m.u.d.
>> right.
>> so we have an agreement here.
>> and that needs to be approved as a first step to even get to the discussion about the amendments.
>> if we need amendments, can it be brought back next week or is there a deadline we are looking at that has to happen today?
>> the amendment you already approved would add the m.u.d. To the whole group that includes a.c.c. And a.i.s.d. Taken city of Austin. And so provided that they sign those amendments, that the board approves them and signs them, we're fine; then you wouldn't need to do anything.
>> I guess 34-b covered y'all and the only question was the m.u.d. Going to come back and sign that amendment later on. Because they need another board meeting sometime the next month or so.
>> the board meeting is on the 7th.
>> are you sure it covers the pho d?
>> it's not listed on our agenda.
>> the way it reads, it's amendment to the original agreement that didn't include the m.u.d. But the way the amendments are drafted, they would include the m.u.d.
>> so doesn't the item -- the agenda item have to include --
>> the title of the amendment, amendments to joint election agreement between -- and it lists the original parties.
>> and they are listed on 34-b. I’m reading --
>> the original did not include the m.u.d., But the tphaeplt and of itself includes the m.u.d.
>> got it.
>> so we didn't even need item 33.
>> yes, you do.
>> what do we need to do then?
>> it's the separate agreement between Travis County and the m.u.d. [multiple voices]
>> I move approval. Approve a check in the amount of $705, let the record -- [laughter] note that. Seconded by Commissioner Gomez. All in favor? Commissioner Davis.
>> oh, yes.
>> that's the agreement. And we have all the amendments in place and if we need another amendment we'll deal with it next week. [multiple voices]
