Item 33
33. Consider and take appropriate action on request to approve aisd interlocal agreement to use a flat rate for use of aisd schools as polling locations and receiving substations on Saturday election.
>> the elections division had asked me to prepare this agreement for them. Just to reflect something that -- that has been going on for years, but it helps the auditor track the -- the negotiated terms. Whenever we have an election, that is during the week day when the schools are open, this agreement now reflects that we can use those schools for free. But if we have an election on a Saturday, this agreement lays out a flat rate of $80 per school, and 79 of those schools for -- for I’m sorry, there -- the county shall pa a flat rate of $08 per school of those approximately -- 80 per school, and $120 per school for approximately four of those schools used for elections as a receiving substation on election night. So that rate whenever it calculates all out will allow them to determine the value ahead of time, what they are going to be paying for the schools whenever it's used on a Saturday.
>> we have been paying something. In the past, right?
>> I think that we have been paying exactly these rates. This just documents the value now.
>> okay.
>> we have a similar agreement with the city, I understand.
>> that the big agreement that we have with the city, yes, sir. It's already in place, right.
>> okay. Any issue, questions? Move approval.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
