4. Introduction of tony nelson to Commissioners court by county attorney's office. Nelson was with the president last week and couldn't attend our little meeting.
>> well, that's always a tough act to follow, following dr. Rock, it remind me of an old lawyer joke that doctors save your lives, lawyers save your -- well, another part of your anatomy. [laughter] and --
>> pocketbook.
>> pocketbook. And following that, I'm here and thank you for the opportunity, short time, to introduce to you tony nelson, who has joined us, been with us for a while, we have already put him to work and many of you have already had a chance to work with him. But tony comes to us as team leader in our civil litigation division, concentrating on employment law. Tony also has experience in civil rights, fort law and construction -- tort law and construction law, talents that we intend to put to great use here. Tony obtained his undergraduate degree from the university of maryland in I think '86, his law degree from the university of Texas. You will recognize some of the firms that tony has been with, associated with, because we work with them closely as well starting with the attorney general's office where he defended the chill justice division to bickerstaff, heath and smiley, not in order, a little son bass and -- alison bass & associates, another firm the county has worked with. Most recently thomas, hudson and nelson before we were able to steal him away over to the county. Finally tony is licensed in every federal court that we might ever want to venture into, from every federal district court in the state all the way up to the united states supreme court. I hope you will join me in using his talents, they are available to you, and we are certainly glad to have him. Anything that you would like to add?
>> thank you very much for the kind introduction, david. And I thank you for your patience in making my introduction this morning. I had a command performance with my son's teacher last week and that was the cause of the delay. I'm really pleased to be with the county in working we various officials. I'm sure that I will get to know you all very well in the coming weeks. I was told that one of the motivations for randy and myself was that we had been on a previous case, it was better to have us over here for a number of different reasons than it was to have us as outside counsel. So it's my pleasure to be here at the county.
>> he's already picked up one of the most unusual nicknames in a very short time period.
>> that's right. We call him the major.
>> okay. I was afraid of what that might be. [laughter] thank you.
>> major tony nelson.
>> thank you.
