>> ... That will be better service for those citizens out there. And we are going to offer early voting at the new 5501 airport boulevard facility, we are going to try to get the word out that that's an easy, convenient place for people to go. There's so much traffic out there. I think that will be a heavily used polling place. Yes, sir?
>> dana, also, I want -- you know, on looking at a -- I want to go back and try to review the randall's at 290 and berkman to see if we can get that location. I understand that you've had some difficulty. But we put -- there was a phone call put into the houston corporate office of randall's and there appeared to be maybe some possible movement of having an early voting location at that site. Maybe swap looking at another site, but I still want to digest -- let me ask this question. How long do we have on this before we need to make a final decision on item 33 today.
>> not long. One week.
>> well --
>> we really need to get this out. We are already behind schedule because of redistricting.
>> okay. Now, my -- I owe you an apology.
>> yeah.
>> because when we were talking about this I misspoke, we were standing at the mlk event, I was not speaking from votes I just got confused between springdale and berkman. The place that I was talking to you about is actually not next to berkman, it's next to springdale and I apologize, I just got it confused and said the wrong thing.
>> I went overlooked for it --
>> I know I told you wrong. [multiple voices]
>> I'm sorry, we did go back out there yesterday and look at it again and there's just not anything out there. And I -- while I'm certainly willing for us to pursue talking to randall's, the problem that the store director is going to have, corporate is going to talk to the store director, they always just like h.e.b. And albertson's, the store director gets to make the final decision. The problem is that store is so tiny that what happens is that front lobby area, which is the ideal place for us to be, gets loaded up with whatever their promotional items are. This time it's going to be -- they are going ting trans sising from valentine's day to easter. So they loaded up with the stuff they are trying to sell. That's the problem that we are having with that randall's. They are nice people, but they don't really have the space. I'm -- i'm, you know, what we can do is we could approve this entire list and go ahead and start serk circulating it and then try to pursue yours for one more week. It's kind of holds up the list [multiple voices]
>> I would like to look at that, I knew that I would have to swap one from the 20 location that's we have here in precinct 1. But even so, I need another week on this to see if there is something possible that we can do for early voter location at that 20 -- at the 290 randall's.
>> let me be clear. Did you want a permanent location out there or did you want a Saturday shoppers day, a mobile? At that -- because I think we are more likely to get a mobile than a permanent. But whatever -- what do you want me to pursue?
>> I would rather pursue the early voting. It can be a mobile. The point is having that location there for the -- for the early voting location.
>> it's either one day or the whole thing, which -- is one day okay?
>> well, let me get back with you on that.
>> okay.
>> let me get back with you on that. I'm not ready for that right now. I do need a courtesy of at least one week on that to give you a more accurate answer.
>> excuse me. It might be better from we wait add whole week to approve all of them then. Otherwise you would do a supplemental order and I would have to wait on the submission anyway.
>> out of courtesy let me extend this. Bring it back one week. Tamara we won't be in violation of anything --
>> well, you won't be in violation. But it's important that we get this out as soon as we -- as soon as possible.
>> > one week.
>> it will be okay if it's just one week.
>> okay. One week.
>> it's not good. But we can handle it.
>> okay.
>> we will ask the judge to let us return next week.
>> is there a better title than calling it -- okay I know we can't call it the tax office, rather than Travis County airport office because the words Travis County and airport in the same slug right now is a rather sensitive subject with an awful lot of folks out there in terms of us thinking that we have an airport, it's the airport location, we are talking airport boulevard.
>> well, the signage isn't good out there, either. Do you have a -- a --
>> I don't care if you put in airport boulevard office. But to say airport --
>> okay.
>> mueller or they think bergstrom. But they are not thinking of airport boulevard.
>> all right. We'll make it Travis County airport boulevard. Office. And I hope that they are going to finally get a sign up there that says elections so that people will know that's what it is.
>> yeah.
>> I was just there yesterday. It only says tax.
>> I know.
>> yeah.
>> we will have I back on next week.
>> answer a question for me. I'm not -- maybe I just don't know how to read these things, but early voting polices Commissioner precinct representation, that page, what is the cifers between that -- difference between that and like the h.e.b. Four cornerers.
>> in your list, what you have got, especially the the Commissioner list, the first typically four or five in bold are permanent, full-time locations. Then the ones underneath that are the mobile. So what you do is you look at the whole package that goes into each Commissioner precinct and the the idea is to have them balanced. You want to have those numbers and those number of locations as equal as we can get them between the precincts.
>> okay. Well, I guess the reason that I'm asking is because in the Commissioner precinct 3, on this list, I don't have the h.e.b. Four corners on this list.
>> oops.
>> but it's on [multiple voices]
>> it's on here.
>> good.
>> but it's not in the one that's got all of those --
>> which would bump you up to 19.
>> yeah.
>> we absolutely we will correct that. I'm sorry it wasn't in your analysis. It is definitely in your list.
>> I knew that it was because you had it on there. Which thanks for doing that, if you will just -- if you will just get it on there.
>> it's on the j.p. Listing.
>> looks like we made a mistake.
>> okay.
>> okay.
>> next week.
>> when we bring it back next week, we will fix that for you and bring you a clean package.
>> I will get in touch with you in the meantime.
>> let's work today and tomorrow on it.
>> okay. For sure. Thanks.
>> all right. Thank you.
>> thank you.
>> all right. See you next week then.
