If I could just make one announcement before citizens communication, actually it's on items 18 dealing with the prohibition of the sale or use of fireworks in unincorporated areas and 19 regarding the prohibition of outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County, our emergency services director, pete baldwin is here. Pete advised us by e-mail that we did get a modest amount of rain, but that amount is insufficient to reduce the risk of the danger of burning because of fire.
>> good morning, I'm pete baldwin emergency management coordinator. Very briefly, nothing really has changed from last week. We are still -- we still continue to see these red flag warning days which is very unusual for us this time of year. Red flag warning means basically we are very low humidity, wind speeds up in the 15 to 20 miles per hour range and extreme fuel conditions out, we are seeing important and more of those, the thing that I wanted to brief you on this morning very quickly is the outdoor burning ban will expire next Wednesday. A week from tomorrow. So next week, we will bring a new order to you unless something changes between now and then. The prohibition of the fireworks will remain in effect until we come back and the court makes a determination that the drought no longer exists. Although it's really not a factor after the fireworks sale here. But that will be the procedure. We will be back next week with a new order unless something changes.
>> now, they got a little bit more rain west of Travis County, but as far as we know virtually all of the central Texas counties have the same ban in place at this time?
>> yes, sir, hays, Williamson, travis, burnet, all of those surrounding central Texas counties have burn bans in place.
>> city of Austin?
>> well, the city of Austin it's illegal to burn within the city of Austin anyway. So theirs is full time year round.
>> oh,.
>> and no fireworks within the city limits.
>> thanks for reminding me, mr. Baldwin. [laughter] so by taking no action today, we leave in place the two orders.
>> yes, sir.
>> 18 and 19.
