Item 2
We may as well call up the action item, number 2. That is to consider and take appropriate action on request to approve order prohibiting trucks from brodie lane on segment between slaughter lane and fm 1626 in preci
>> judge, I would move that we would allow to go forward with approval of the brodie lane as discussed by joe giselman.
>> second.
>> and specifically it's the orde you're adopting. The order, and let me read for the record what is being banned. That would single units, single rear axle heavy trucks, including side panel trucks, single unit multirear axle trucks, including dump trucks and concrete mixers, all trailer -- tractor-trailer and semi trailer combinations and all vehicles regardless of size displaying hazardous material warning placards.
>> joe, when would this take place? When would we start this? Wold this be effective?
>> as soon as I can get the signs made and put up? > when --
>> probably the first of the , also I guess again -- i'd like to go back to what it remind me of what happened inprinct 1 where we had trucks going through the neighborhood -- trucks that were protected going through there, we had to come up with an alternate route and thankdness we had done that at the intersection of springdale road and the neighborhood at the time. But the truck traffic signs are in place and there's a period that people that have been doing this have been violating -- have been violating this order. Back to the point of enforc to put my arm and embrace the enforcement aspect of this because if the citya.p.d. E involved with it along with the county, I guess it goes back to the question that the judge asked earlier, and that is can enforcement officers that the county has, can they cite a person violating this particular o that's when what I want to get down to it. It's very important to aighood u don't have any enforcement capability or who's doing the enforcement, sometimes you have stuff and -- (indiscernible) nobody is paying attention to the truck traffic signs. They're just sitting out there. Contact myuld ask the office. I mean, if we see that something is not happening, so that I can make sure that I t with tcso. And I don't mind going to the city as well to get their cooperation I that we're going to get their cooperation. I don't think we have a problem with that. Y'all can certainly call my office and keep us in contact with something if it's not working.
>> do we post the preferred detour route a sign?
>> I’m not sure about that.
>> I would think we need to do that early on.
>> really do.
>> [overlapping speakers].
>> don't think that we have a specific legal obligation to post a detour route, but I think it would be appropriate for us sign it if we prohibit a specific category of vehicle, in this case thetrucksa detour via and have the alternate route posted.
>> any mf the motion? All in favor? That passes unanimously. Thank you.
>> thank y'all very much.
